The goal was to produce an exhaust that sounded great at start up and throughout the rev range under acceleration while using all the factory mount points so keep labor costs to a minimum. The details came in tuning for decelerations and crisp upshifts and downshifts. The sound is really audible outside the vehicle and with the windows down but within the well-insulated cabin you are still experiencing a quite ride. You can hear the turbo spool at WOT, it's just more subdued in the cab. Another major criteria that Kooks considers is using all the factory mount points for simplicity of installation by the buyer. You can install this in your garage floor or on a lift. The 304 stainless steel system is designed to install with one person at home. There is no welding required, no custom hangers, the system is completely engineered for ease of assembly. Having built and disassembled the system through all of the iterations we know how to make it easy.
